2027 Distinguished Alumni of the Year Award

Nominations Are Now Open!

The Woodland Hills Foundation is proud to announce that nominations are now being accepted for our 2027 Distinguished Alumni of the Year Award!

Each year, we recognize an outstanding Woodland Hills graduate who has achieved excellence in their chosen field while making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

Our alumni have gone on to accomplish incredible things, both professionally and personally. From business leaders and educators to artists, healthcare professionals, public servants, entrepreneurs, and dedicated community volunteers, Woodland Hills graduates continue to make an impact in countless ways.

But this award is about more than professional success. We want to recognize individuals who have used their talents, resources, and time to give back, inspire others, and make their communities better places to live.

Do you know a Woodland Hills graduate who deserves to be recognized? We want to hear about them!

About the Award

The Distinguished Alumni of the Year Award honors a Woodland Hills graduate who exemplifies professional achievement, outstanding character, community involvement, and a commitment to making a positive difference.

The ideal recipient has not only demonstrated excellence in their career or area of specialization but has also made meaningful contributions through volunteerism, mentorship, charitable giving, community leadership, or other acts of service.

While continued involvement in the Woodland Hills community is especially meaningful, nominees may have made their impact locally, regionally, nationally, or beyond.

The selected honoree will be recognized at the Woodland Hills Foundation's 2027 Starry Night Gala at Edgewood Country Club, where they will be celebrated for their accomplishments and invited to address Gala guests.

Who Can Be Nominated?

Nominations are open to graduates of Woodland Hills High School.

Nominees should demonstrate a combination of personal or professional achievement and a commitment to serving others. They do not need to currently reside within the Woodland Hills School District to be considered.

We encourage nominations from fellow alumni, educators, friends, family members, colleagues, and community members who are familiar with the nominee's accomplishments and contributions.

Selection Criteria

Nominees will be evaluated based on several factors, including, but not limited to:

• Professional Excellence: Demonstrated outstanding achievement or leadership in their chosen career, profession, or area of specialization.

• Honors and Recognition: Awards, distinctions, or other recognition received at the local, regional, national, or international level.

• Community Service: A demonstrated commitment to volunteerism, charitable activities, mentorship, advocacy, or other meaningful service to others.

• Connection to Woodland Hills: Continued involvement with the Woodland Hills community, including living, working, operating a business, or maintaining family connections within the School District.

• Support of the Woodland Hills Foundation: Involvement with or contributions to the Foundation through volunteerism, financial support, in-kind donations, charitable activities, guidance, or other forms of assistance.

• Impact and Inspiration: The extent to which the nominee's achievements, character, and contributions serve as a positive example for current Woodland Hills students and the broader community.

• Alumni Recognition: Nominations or endorsements from fellow Woodland Hills graduates.

Nominees do not need to meet every criterion to be considered. The Foundation recognizes that meaningful achievements and contributions take many forms, and each nominee will be evaluated based on their individual accomplishments and impact.
